Reminders

As part of our VetPortal suite of software we provide reminders for all appointments and treatments.


How it works - Reminders

  • Reminders go out daily via email or via SMS, to each client who has opted in.
  • SMS messages are at cost: your account is direct with the SMS provider.
  • We provide you with a daily appointment reminder reports, weekly treatment reports, and a list of whose email or mobile details you need to obtain.

Timing and Frequency of Reminders

Appointment reminders are sent by email and SMS the day before an appointment. If the appointment is more than a month in the future, say 6 months time, and it is for a wellness consult and vaccination, the client will receive an additional reminder 2 - 4 weeks before the appointment is due. This is helpful if your practice has a forward booking policy.

Treatment reminders are summarised by client, so multiple pets are included in a single email, and if they have an appointment booked for a booster vaccination (any treatment reminder) they will not get a redundant reminder to book that appointment. SMS treatment reminders are summarised by pet, so an SMS is sent for each pet due a treatment.
